We serve Crafty Beers – English Cask Ales from the Micro Brewery born here in our Stable block!
At any one time we have 2 of these Crafty beers on the pump:
Carpenter’s Cask (Best bitter, 4.1% ABV). The flavour of this ale is driven by the malt flavours from Crystal, Munich and Chocolate malts. It contains medium quantities of unfermentable sugars, providing body to the beer. The main hop flavour comes from the traditionally English East Kent Goldings hop. Moderate bitterness and colour.
Sixteen Strides (Hoppy Pale Ale, 4.4% ABV). Whilst this ale still benefits from flavour of Crystal, Munich and Chocolate malts, it is much more hop driven. Flovour and aroma are derived from East Kent Goldings hops and the citrusy Cascade hop, which is added in substantial quantities after the boil. Fermentation is relatively cool and leaves few unfermentable sugars, leading to a drier taste. Medium-High bitterness and aroma.
Sauvignon Blonde (Golden Ale, 4.4% ABV). An aromatic golden ale. It’s name and predominent flavours emanate from the Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand which create characteristics reminiscent of the Kiwi’s most famous wine.
Mild Mannered (Dark Mild 3.5%ABV) A warm dark very flavourful mild ale. Catch it when you can we don’t brew it very often!
Also on draft we have Aspells draft cider, Calsberg plus a large range of bottled beers, lagers soft drinks etc.
